Serving Up A Great Valentines Day

Tracy coined himself "LRM" the other week. What does that stand for? Least Romantic Man. Not exactly what a woman wants to hear right before Valentines Day! YIKES!!

Believe it or not ... he failed with his self-proclaimed title. Tracy returned from Albequerque with not one, not two, but THREE hand-made, gorgeous necklaces. I am a big fan of natural stones and hand-made jewelry. Tracy actually remembered this, went to a bead shop, and purchased three necklaces. All of this is tantamount to stabbing himself in the eye with a fork, repeatedly. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised. Since I didn't expect him to make any plans for Valentines night, I (read Benjy) took care of it for us and made reservations at Spoons for their special Valentine Dinner. Twenty of us had a romantic, quiet dinner - ha ha!

We were serenaded by one of our local troubadours.
The kids got to saddle up to Spoon's lunch counter to decorate sugar cookies.

This is Charlie's creation:
We finished off the evening by frightening the locals with our children running rampant on the street corner. Hopefully this isn't a peak into their future!
So the night may not have been filled with romance, but it was fun! At this point in our life, I rank fun FAR above romance (I think romance will become important when those little blue pills come into the picture - ha ha!). Thanks Tracy for remembering my love for "Betty Rubble" necklaces, for going to dinner with our neighborhood brood, and for staying up with our little night owl last night! It was a great Valentines Day!! **trust me, staying up with the baby is more romantic than anything else you could possibly think of right now!!!**
