I Have To Tell Ya'

Ok - my sister, Melissa, is a WHIZ when it comes to finding good quality items at a great price. She is one to hunt and investigate before spending a dime. I've been so preoccupied with so many different things that I tossed my normally skeptical self to the wind and have taken Melissa's recommendations. I am SO GLAD!!

Let me tell you a few of her suggestions:

1) Britax car seats - so the infant seat is "heavy as lead". If that translates into my baby being spared any injury - let it be heavy. Maybe I'll benefit from the lifting. Turkey triceps no more! Plus, I bought a practically new carrier/stroller combo off Craigslist for half the price of new and Melissa generously passed down the next size up seat (the Roundabout) to Lily. I only need to buy a new cover (that's more for preference than necessity). Can we say "Bargain!"?



2) Fleurville diaper bags - I loooove this diaper bag. I went for the sling tote because after years of no babies, I've grown accustomed to smaller bags. This bag has stroller hooks so I can clip it to the fabulous stroller above and do some carefree shopping. It is small and light weight with pockets for all my necessary items. Nothing gets lost and it can hold a TON of stuff! Best part, it's covered with this clear plastic coat so it's stain resistant - perfect! The best part about my bag is that I found it at Marshall's for $50 --- that's $100 less than retail. It's not the adorable print shown here, but I love it!



3)Naartjie - I love clothes! This is no big surprise, but what is are the types of clothes I like. I really prefer clothing that can't be found everywhere, that is good quality, and has a sort of traditional/eclectic feel to it. HELLO NAARTJIE! I bought a couple of things for Lily just a few moments ago. I felt a little guilty, like I paid too much - so I went to Gap's website to check out what they have to offer this spring and ---- whoa! way too much money for mostly unoriginal, mainstream clothing.
