Here is our home. We love it oh-so-much! Below I will try to list ONLY 10 reasons why I heart this house!

1. Lovely dappled sunlight
We have a wonderful big Mulberry Tree that blesses us with honey sweet fruit every Spring & a giant old Cedar Tree with lush ivy just dripping from it's branches. Our home faces East, so in the early morning hours that sun breaks through the leaves and speckles our yard and porch with the perfect amount of sunshine.
2. Our house number - 401
How normal and idyllic can a house number be? That's our address: 401 N. Bradley St., Hometown, USA!
3. Our Kitchen
This little room is the heart of our home. Both my husband and I love to cook - the kids are following suit. This kitchen sees tons of action --- probably more than any other room in the house ;) - (oh NO I DIDN'T!).
4. Our Front Porch
Our front porch isn't huge, but on any given afternoon you can find at least 11 people on it at a time! These are our neighborhood kids who walk to and from school together. They all meet at our porch to greet their parents and head home after a hard day at school. Most afternoons, we parents encourage them to run around the yard "just a few more minutes" so we can gossip a wee bit longer.
5. Our Big, Long Hall
What a GREAT HALL! It's 32 feet long with cool things like a giant clock and an old door on a barn track -- let's not forget about the ceiling with it's beams and salvaged tin ceiling tiles. This was a race track when the two older kids were toddlers and is sure to be used as one again when the baby gets big enough. Mmmm ... I just love it! When we have our annual Caroling Party, this hall becomes a congested thoroughfare of seasonal delight!

6. Big Old Claw Foot Tubs
Don't you want to crawl right in and take a soak?! This beauty is 6 feet long. It may empty the hot water heater to fill it up, but you can soak in there for hours.
7. Ceilings
My husband, Tracy, is amazing! He has taken on our ceilings as his labor of love. You've had a peak at our salvaged tin ceilings that occupy 2/3 of our downstairs. Here is a look at his latest creation - a lovely coffered ceiling in our den. It's so yummy!! Did I tell ya? He's AMAZING!!
8. French Doors
I love, love, love French Doors. This is the second set we've put into our home. I love the light they allow to travel from room to room as well as the privacy they give when that is wanted. I can shut myself up in the den and be lost in a creative frenzy for hours! Want to know what I love most about our French Doors? Their price. They were free! Salvaged from the trash of one of our friend's workplace. Thanks Tim!!
9. Junk
There is always something to look at in our home. I am an avid lover of anything "junk". It always tickles me to pieces when someone exclaims, "How CLEVER!" or "Look at that!" or "I'd never have thought about using that in that way!" My mind swims with ideas & I have a garage of projects to prove it!!
10. Chairs
I have a serious - and I mean SERIOUS - affinity for chairs. Your weary feet have no need to fear at 401 N. Bradley Street. We always have a seat to offer!! One day a girlfriend of mine cracked me up by going from room to room trying out each one of our chairs. According to Shelly, there isn't an uncomfortable one in the house! (We also name our chairs. This one is "The Hemingway" b/c it looks to me like Ernest should be sitting in it, pondering his next novel)
That was SO FUN! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look-see. Come back in December for the Chestnut Square Historic Home Tour - where you can see it all up close and personal!

I love it. That is the closest we will come to see your home, at least for awhile. I love all of your details, I can't wait for Christmas!
I noticed your family relative, that you are related to Winn, that is my maiden name and they come from Oklahoma. I wonder?????
Your home is just beautiful - but I have to say my favorite thing was the ceilings. They are simply gorgeous.
