On the Road Again ...

Over the past two days, we've been quite the little Road Warriors!

Thursday night we drove to Ft. Worth to see the TCU/BYU football shame, uh, I mean game. After nearly three hours in the car we:
  1. Missed the tailgate party b/c we couldn't park
  2. Walked three miles (or so it seemed) to get to the stadium
  3. Found our seats, which were 20 miles in the air. (at this point I'm glad I've been working out!)
  4. I - remembering I'm afraid of heights - had a panic attack. Tracy graciously led us down to sit in the end zone (on nice, solid, not dizzyingly high ground)
  5. Ate nachos for dinner
  6. Witnessed some of the worst football we've seen in --- oh, FOREVER!!
NEVERTHELESS!! It was a BYU football game. It was in person, up close, and exciting. Noah got to pretend ref and make the calls as they were being made - right there in front of him. We held out hope for a turn in events, we cheered, and overall had a good time.Friday night we hit the road yet again. This time we rolled down 35 toward Waco way to see Tracy's niece, Minda, and her family as well as his brother, Brad, and Sister-in-law, Cathy, who were visiting from Utah.

We were:
  1. Able to see where Alan and Minda have settled.
  2. Thrilled to see the cousins, Jacob and Sam.
  3. Treated to Rudy's Barbeque
  4. Overjoyed to talk politics, decorating, Super Saturdays, Geography, school, etc.
  5. Glad to introduce Lily to her Uncle and Aunt
  6. Happy to share in early birthday greetings for Brad and Cathy, who have bdays one day apart)
Comparably, we had a much better time in Waco - our experience there was much more pleasant.

Tracy earns a gold star for his time behind the wheel. Both nights, on the way home, I was out. Nothing I could do would keep me awake. I even downed 44 ounces of Diet Coke and I still slept through the entire drive! Thank you for getting us home safely Sir Tracealot!
