Thursday night we drove to Ft. Worth to see the TCU/BYU football shame, uh, I mean game. After nearly three hours in the car we:
- Missed the tailgate party b/c we couldn't park
- Walked three miles (or so it seemed) to get to the stadium
- Found our seats, which were 20 miles in the air. (at this point I'm glad I've been working out!)
- I - remembering I'm afraid of heights - had a panic attack. Tracy graciously led us down to sit in the end zone (on nice, solid, not dizzyingly high ground)
- Ate nachos for dinner
- Witnessed some of the worst football we've seen in --- oh, FOREVER!!
We were:
- Able to see where Alan and Minda have settled.
- Thrilled to see the cousins, Jacob and Sam.
- Treated to Rudy's Barbeque
- Overjoyed to talk politics, decorating, Super Saturdays, Geography, school, etc.
- Glad to introduce Lily to her Uncle and Aunt
- Happy to share in early birthday greetings for Brad and Cathy, who have bdays one day apart)
Tracy earns a gold star for his time behind the wheel. Both nights, on the way home, I was out. Nothing I could do would keep me awake. I even downed 44 ounces of Diet Coke and I still slept through the entire drive! Thank you for getting us home safely Sir Tracealot!
