Happy Halloween!

Halloween snuck up on us and delivered a fun little punch!

As we have done for the past nine years, we dressed up the kiddos and headed down to the Square for "Scare on the Square". This was Lily's first Halloween! I think she loved looking at everything while she "drove" her little coupe (thanks Cousin Meghan!). Hermione and our Sports Fanatic scored lots and lots of candy!

It's fantastic seeing so many friends and neighbors while being surrounded by all that excitement. I love our town!!

After our festivities downtown, we all met up at the Gilberts for Pizza. The girls then went off with the kiddos to Trick or Treat while the Dads stayed back to hand out candy.

Here comes the funniest part of the night ... Bubba and James are standing at the fence handing out candy when they hear this conversation, "Wow! This house sure does look better since those two Gay guys moved in!" Shelly and Bubba have done quite a bit of work recently and their house does look great, but it's not because of James' and Bubba's design decisions!

James, deciding he rather not be associated as Bubba's "partner", sat down and let Bubba take over candy duty. In an unexpected air of comedy, Bubba spins around and calls out, "James!! Get over HERE! You know we're supposed to do this together!"

I had to be peeled off the sidewalk! It was hysterical. I had to call back - "We support your alternate lifestyle!!" It was made even funnier by John and Tracy being there with Lily. They did look like quite the modern family!
**I have to add this in case you're offended -- not that there's anything wrong with alternate lifestyles**

Our bunch draws attention wherever we go! In another post, I'll have to relay the story of our Polygamist family night out.

Now to highlight the coolest, scariest house in the 'hood! This is amazing. They had a little graveyard in the front - complete with iron fencing, giant spiders on the porch, skeletons playing a Ouija Board, pumpkins going up the stairs, and much, much more! Way Cool!
I heart those pumpkins!
