Days 3, 4, & 5

Day Three - we set off for Houston to visit my friend, Laura, and her family. The trip was very exciting with Red Box Movies, Giant Root beers, and a stop at Woody's about 150 miles north of Houston.

Once we arrived at our destination, Laura, Jake, Jack, & Luke welcomed us into their home with the warmest hospitality. Laura's Dad, Mr. Combs (as I still call him & can not call him anything else!), came over for dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed a nice political discussion over the tastiest fajitas. It was a very nice evening!

Day Four - we all headed to the Houston Rodeo. We didn't see the actual Rodeo, but we did ride the rides, eat the food, and play games ... what more could you want?!

Noah & Luke on the Dumbo ride

The Ferris Wheel was a BIG hit!
see Laura waving?
Abby attempted to take Lily on a few rides without success.
I love her look of frustration!

Lily loved the food!
Abby rung a duck on her first try!
We have a new member of the family ...
By the end of the day, Lily was done.
The Houston Rodeo was just too much fun!!

Day Five - we all woke up, packed up our things, talked a bit, and headed back to Dallas. By 2:30 p.m. we were home. Everyone put their things away and enjoyed their afternoon. Daddy came home and we tried out Pizza Patron for dinner, which is pretty tasty as well as fun to say!

Spring Break is now officially over, but we still have the weekend! The kids have been pretty happy with our events even if they weren't "over the top". They sure are great kids & I've enjoyed spending this week with them!
