"Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads"
West Virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads"
One of my favorite little girl memories is singing John Denver's "Country Roads" with all my sisters in our Grandparents fifth wheel that we used as a playhouse. It was probably the last summer we were all together in Tennessee. I was four turning five. My sister, Tammy, worked at Hardees which had one of those giant treat vending machines that looked like a gigantic gum ball machine. I always looked forward to getting a new plastic ring or other treasure from it. Tammy was the most beautiful, coolest girl around - and she dated a guy named "Rusty" that summer. How much more 1978 can you get?

Here we are about 13 years later:
Sunday we're heading out, letting those country roads take us back home to Tennessee - not West Virginia. Tracy, me, and the kids are hoofing it to the Great Smoky Mountains for some isolation, recuperation, and family time. Dad & Judy are heading our way Tuesday or Wednesday. Anita and Carleigh will meet up with us on Thursday. Tammy, Zane, and Grayson will arrive on Friday. The whole gang plans on going to ... wait for it ... DOLLYWOOD on Saturday. Of course, we'll all be together on Easter Sunday.

Here's to the Mountains! Here's to family get-togethers! Here's to Dolly!
Happy Easter!!
