boys

If you carefully focus between the lush greenery and our guest bath, er, uh, porta-potty - you can catch a glance of the rare "Grupo de Rapazes" as they say in Portugal or "Group of Boys" here in the good ole U.S. of A.

As I shooed them from the porch this morning and off to school, one could hear shouts of , "BACON!! BACON!!" which Jake savored the sound of over and over and over. It was all spurred on from Charlie announcing that in his lunch he held a prized Bacon Sandwich. This is all very important business in the morning. Fodder to begin the day with a chuckle and a nudge.

As I closed the door and laughed myself, my heart turned to the familiar molten warmth which I feel for these kids on a regular basis. I had to grab the camera, sneak out the door, and steal a very blurry pic of them walking down the street.

All too soon, a car will be pulling up to the house - filled with boys - awaiting Noah to jump in and head off to school. Gone will be the days of random yells and boyish shoves. I can only hope that these boys maintain what keeps them bonded together now -- goofiness and parents who love them!

**As a side note** if the woman two doors down, whose son's intelligence is "way off the charts" (barf), questioned her decision to home school ... perhaps witnessing the daily parade down and up Bradley Street - buffoonedness and all - gives her enough validation in her choice!! ;)
