Serious Business!

Sports are serious business (by the way, we consider Ballet a sport).

Here is an example of how serious Noah's team takes Baseball:

Ok, so we're not so serious, but we are committed. Here is a peek at last weekend's line-up:
  • Friday 6:00 p.m. - Noah's Baseball Game
  • Saturday 9:15 a.m. - Noah's Soccer Game
  • Saturday 10:43 a.m. - Abby's Ballet Recital rehearsal
  • Saturday 5:00 p.m. - Noah's Soccer Party
  • Sunday 2:00 p.m. - Abby's Ballet Recital
It was a tad busy. I am not including Abby's Softball games, which took place on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. I am happy to say Soccer Season is now over. We have one weekend tournament and we're all done until September. Baseball is going until mid-June because of rain. Softball is extended a bit as well because of rain.

Why am I sharing? Well, because I was so scared about this Spring. I had no idea how we were going to handle everything all at once. Better put - I had no idea how I was going to handle everything. It's enough to juggle their schedules, but I've never had the experience of trudging an infant along for all the fun. I did make a few mistakes. I did threaten to move to a remote island where there are no organized sports, but for the most part - things were okey dokey! I mean, look, we are still smiling!

Abby has become a great baby sitter:
We were able to maintain friendships on and off the field. Here's Noah with his friend Reed (from school). They played one another on Saturday. I heard they were trying to psych each other out at school on Friday with the "I've got my eyes on you" thing. Noah loves competition so much.

What about Abby's Recital? She danced wonderfully! We are so proud of her. Ballet isn't the easiest form of dance, but she takes it seriously and tries her best. After watching her practice, I gave her a little constructive criticism. She didn't like hearing it at first, but as we discussed it she felt better. Seeing her at the recital was fantastic! She took those tips seriously, improved herself, and did a stellar job!! Every time I see her dance, tears well up in my eyes. She's so lovely!
Here is a video of her rehearsal - She's in the cut-off jeans and white t-shirt:
