It's the most wonderful time of the year!! Time for Christmas miracles and wishes, time to sing about the grace of God and our Lord's miraculous birth!
We love to have our friends and family over for a caroling party. We love to eat. We love to chat. We (read Noah and I) love to sing. It's a wonderful night with kids running everywhere.
Only about a block of Lamar St. was covered, but I know it was a success. We sang to many homes of Senior Citizens. My poor "neighborliness" was proven by my not knowing these people even lived there. Many were in their nightgowns (at 8 p.m.) and took awhile to get to the door, but when they did - they really loved our singing (and that's saying a lot). One sweet lady even gave the children candy. So sweet!
After our first house, one of the children asked another, "Was that kind of weird to you, too?" Funny!! Isn't it a little bit sad that caroling is foreign to our children? It's just another symbol of the decay of our society, BUT - we're not thinking about that right now because this is a time of Christmas miracles & joy & snowmen figurines.
I really enjoyed our evening! I realized I never get any pictures of the night because I'm so busy cooking and enjoying our guests, but here are a few pics. If you weren't here and would like to be next year, let me know and you will SO be on the invite list. If you were invited and didn't come - we sure missed you!!
Merry Christmas Y'all & remember to SING!!!

Glenda that sounds like so much fun!
What an impressive carolling party. It's the perfect cold weather activity to bring on the Christmas spirit.
Sounds great! I wish we could do something like that. Our family did walk around the block singing carols a few weeks ago but didn't dare ring doorbells-I don't think germans are prepared for that. Have a great Christmas!
