I'm just now sitting down at the computer for some (please, please, please) uninterrupted email checking and facebook jumping - and, obviously, blog composing.
As I sit and feel a wee bit fatigued I wonder, "What did I do today? What happened between 6:30 a.m. and 9:35 p.m.?" Let's see:
- Let Dottie out
- put wet clothes in dryer, put dirty clothes in washer
- Abby asked, "Did you hear Lily?"
- Go get Lily out of bed
- put Lil in highchair with Cheerios
- go put on clothes
- brush Abby's hair (good grief!)
- take Ab and Charlie to school
- go get mandatory Diet Coke at QT (realize clothes don't match)
- return home
- put dry clothes in laundry basket, wet clothes in dryer, dirty clothes in washer
- see Noah off to school from front door, while he wasn't looking - so he won't know I'm still watching out for him
- put Lil down for nap
- more laundry switching, start dishwasher (marvel at modern conveniences as well as lovely hum they make)
- kitchen is clean, clothes need to be folded ...
- Tracy offers to go to work late so I can go to Pilates (reward or punishment?!)
- I go to Pilates
- home, folding laundry
- Lily up
- make lunch for Lil and myself - we sit in den on floor and enjoy a "Maisie" move from the 40's while dining
- fold, fold, fold while Lily "naps"
- 45 min. later, while heading to shower, hear Lil talking in crib - attempt unsuccessfully to put her down for another nap
- take shower in Lil's bathroom while she plays in her room
- shower door breaks for no apparent reason, showering glass all over me (luckily not Lily)
- dress
- play with Lil
- Abby comes home
I have good reason to feel tired!
I was just reminded - everything worthwhile takes effort. It helps that all that care taking and such make me happy as well!

sounds all too familiar!
So, me sitting, watching tv and eating cookies for lunch while thinking about the laundry and dishwasher is just not the same...BTW, you look very pretty in the posted pic.
