They Clean Up Good!

When we have a day off, we TAKE the day off. Scruffy attire and messy hair are mandatory on these wonderful days.

I loved how they looked, all lined up, eating their lunch. Doesn't Lil look like she just knows she's just as big as Abby and Noah? She had her own lunch, but insisted that Abby share Abby's lunch with her. That's the way Lily is turning out to be - in the middle of everything! She's lucky Abby loves her so much. Abby really shows an incredible amount of patience with Lil. I'm very proud of her for that!

Sunday always comes quickly. Time to clean up a bit and wear something a little nicer than worn in jeans and a ratty old t-shirt. For the record, that bow lasted about thirty minutes! We had hair to put it in, though - amazing! Noah is such a sweet boy. He came downstairs and saw Lily in her little dress and black patent leather shoes and exclaims, "Oh! Look at our Little Princess! She looks just like a little princess!" It always makes me giggle when he talks like that. He will appreciate a pretty woman some day!

Abby is so lovely! She is branching out into "girldom" and is doing her own hair, picking out her own outfits --- I'm just thrilled!! I hate to gush all the time - wait, no I don't. I could tell you all the things Abby does that aren't great, but WHY?! I love being her cheerleader, her biggest fan. She really is such a great kid. I am amazed at how cool she is. Exams were last week. It was her first time taking exams, her first experience earning grades. Was she nervous? No. A little cocky, yes - but, hey! I rather her have confidence going into a test, than wracked with nerves. I'm hoping and praying for the wisdom to stay close to her and guide her in what she needs. She's such a special daughter of God!
