Why is it so hard to congratulate others' successes, recognize achievements, and respect differences of opinion when one is related? I have had a FREAKIN' LIFETIME of watching what I say, tiptoeing around fit throwers, etc. I am here to say that I AM FINISHED!!!
If you don't like the way I think - GOOD! My religion is different - GOOD! My house more/less "fancy" than yours - GOOD! I don't give a freakin' flappin' flip about your issues surrounding your issues or feel like I need to "tread lightly" around you regarding ________. I'm totally and completely FINISHED with all that rigamarole!
Here's the deal - if you're family ... I love you. That may mean I don't always "like" you, but I love you. End of story!
Now, let me be my bad ass self & you can be your bad ass self. When we get together, we can talk about how cool we are ... 'cause that's the way I roll!

I don't know what you are referring to, but I completely agree! I feel like I'm always trying to avoid offending people. I'm done!
