It's Official: I'm O.L.D.!

I've been teasing others about it for years, but now I'm on my way - I'm quickly slipping down the slippery slope to 40. On Saturday, we celebrated my 37th birthday. Ouch.

Of course, it was sweetened a little by these beautiful creatures presenting me with my present. Aren't they just precious?! Clearly, they take after their mother - ha! I'm very brave to post in the morning with no make-up pics. I am aging after all.

Tracy threw me a wonderful party with a few of our close friends. I did nothing - do you believe me?! I did nothing!! He put together a great dinner with smoked brisket, turkey, and ham, baked potatoes, raspberry salad, and cucumber salad. Our great friends brought delicious nummies as well. It was so nice to sit around and gab with not a care in the world! Even nicer, all the kids got along famously! Just goes to show you what great people were in attendance! I felt like the luckiest woman in the world!

Lily enjoyed herself immensely! She had a crowd to entertain, after all.

Instead of cake, Tracy had these darling cupcakes made. This was MY special cupcake. The others were pink, brown, and white with fondant "G"s on them. Way cute!

It was a great day! Almost great enough to entice me into looking forward to 38!!
