Our Town

Yesterday I started thinking of all the reasons why I love our town. Here are a few:
  1. One mile to a Dairy Queen
  2. My neighbors were high school sweethearts
  3. Killis at Clyde's (Clyde's is now closed, but Killis was a favorite)
  4. Trees
  5. Characters with thick Texas accents ("Mam, we's gonna ....")
  6. Once a month flea market
  7. Close proximity to Dallas for the BEST shopping around, but far enough away to make shopping in Dallas an event
  8. Trick or Treating on the Square
  9. The Square
  10. A fair share of Senior Citizens (my grocery shopping would be mundane without them oogling the kids and baby)
It's funny. I've always considered myself fairly urban. I think I am, but at the same time I have this love for small towns and country romanticism. I guess you could say (and I know you see this coming)
I'm an Urban Cowgirl!
John Travolta - move over - I see a new star coming to town. Just a thought ... maybe I'm a Rhinestone Cowgirl? Any other early 80's references I can use?
You gotta know when to hold 'em ....

I love your new back ground! It took awhile to load but it may have been my computer. I love brown! I would go for the rhinestone cowgirl to fit you for sure!
