To celebrate being 40 - we used his age as a theme.
The kids gave Tracy 40 Root Beers (stacked in the fridge - cold & ready to go), 40 packages of Oreos, and 40 candy bars. Tracy claims this also made his birthday the year of 40 gained pounds! Ha! I doubt it with that crazy metabolism of his!
I gave him a CD of #1 songs from 1970 & a "40 hour Vacation".
This past weekend, we packed up, left the kids in the capable hands of our friends, The Calkins, and drove 32 minutes to The Fairmont Hotel in downtown Dallas. With all that time on our hands, no laundry to do, kids to feed, or things to fix - we swam, watched the World Cup, and kissed. Yes, we kissed ... often!
What a great celebration ... now what to do for 41????
