Welcome to Heaven on Earth
It's Amelia Island, Florida and it is amazing. We are surrounded by beautiful tall trees, lizards everywhere, green, green, green as far as the eye can see ... and then there's the beach. This really is the best of both worlds. As a Southerner, I love the sounds of summer - cicadas and night birds. I also love the thick, wonderful feeling of heat in the evening. It may sound weird, but it feels like home. Here are a few pics from our trip so far. We love the beach. There is also a small pool at our Villa that is nice and relaxing. I especially love sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening. This is a lovely resort. I feel so fortunate to be able to vacation here this year.
