I thought the world was supposed to end in 2012, but you would have thought the end was near one week ago when this happened in North Texas!
I thought the kids looked absolutely adorable all bundled up (or as Noah used to say, "Bungled up".) We were so unprepared for the cold weather - as evident by Lily's cute, but not too warm jean jacket, which is lined (so we're not the worst parents EVER).
My response to this weather is to stay inside as much as possible; however, I encouraged the kids to play, play, play. I've never seen this much snow! Who knows if they'll ever experience this phenomenon in Texas again?! So, Thursday night they played to their hearts content & woke Friday morning to start all over again - since school was cancelled. Forts were built, neighborhood explored while devoid of normal traffic. For one morning, they were kings of the hood in all it's white splendor. For the next couple of days, I was queen of wet, stinking hats, mittens, jeans, and socks. I can handle it! It's only one week, right?!
Thank you Mother Nature for this unexpected delight - you Saucy Babe, you!
